Open heart surgery when baby? HELP!?

hi my name is krista i am 13 now gonna be 14 in july (1st), and i have a huge question to ask! I had open heart surgery when i was a newborn and i was a blue baby (It means a baby that was born blueish color and had heart problems, along with not being able to breath right) And i went into open heart surgery. I haven't taken my meds in months and my mom says that i'll die faster (and that's the thing im scared of!) So my question is: Will I die at a young age?!?! I am very scared of that happening and i know that people tell me not to worry, but I can't help worrying. Thanks I appreciate it!
